Privacy Statement

How we handle your data

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Therefore, we process your data exclusively on the basis of relevant legal regulations (GDPR, Telecommunication Act 2003). In this privacy statement, we disclose the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

Contacting Us

If you contact us by means of a form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and for potential follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your consent.

Data Storage / Web Shop

We wish to point out that the IP data of the subscriber is stored in the form of cookies by the web shop operator for the purpose of facilitating the purchase process and the subsequent contract implementation. The same applies to the name, address, and e-mail address of the buyer.

The data provided by you is required for the fulfilment of contract and/or the execution of pre-contractual measures. We cannot enter a contractual agreement with you without this data. A transfer of data to third parties does not take place, with the exception of the transmission of order data to the payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport/shipping company commissioned by us to deliver the goods, and to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of tax obligations.

Data stored by us is deleted after a purchase process is terminated. In the event of a conclusion of contract, all data pertaining to the contractual relationship is stored until the tax retention period (7 years) has lapsed.

Name, address, purchased goods, and date of purchase are stored until the product liability lapses (10 years). Data is processed in accordance with the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) Telecommunications Act and Art. 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for fulfilment of contract) of the GDPR.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. They cause no damage.

We use cookies to make our offering user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognise your browser upon your next visit.

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser to inform you about the placing of cookies. This enables you to only allow cookies in individual cases.

Disabling cookies may, however, limit the functionality of our website.

Web Analytics / Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, including the features of Universal Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your website usage. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookie is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.

IP-Anonymisation (IP-Masking): Due to the not yet clarified legal situation regarding the use of analysis tools with complete IP-addresses, our website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that your IP-address is shortened by Google before further use within a member state of the European Union, or in another state that is part of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and is thus merely used anonymously. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP-address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there.

Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with other services related to website and Internet usage.

The (shortened) IP-address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data provided by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software correspondingly. However, we would like to point out that such a setting may prevent you from using all website features to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (incl. your IP-address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data, by clicking on the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en) to download and install the available browser plugin.

For more information about Google Analytics’ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, please visit https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube or maps by Google Maps, are integrated within this online presence. This always presupposes that the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party provider”) can recognise the user’s IP-address. Without the IP address, the content cannot be transferred to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of such content. We endeavour to exclusively use content supplied by providers that use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence whatsoever on whether a third-party provider stores the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. Should this be the case, we inform users about it to the best of our knowledge.

Newsletter

Our website affords you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. To this end, we require your e-mail address and a declaration stating that you give your consent to receiving the newsletter.

As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we send you a confirmation e-mail containing a link via which you need to confirm your registration.

You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: [specify e-mail address]. We then delete all your data pertaining to the distribution of the newsletter immediately.

This website uses Google Remarketing. Google Remarketing is an advertising service provided by Google Inc. which enables advertising measures targeted at previous website visitors. Third parties, including Google, place ads on websites on the Internet. To this end, they use cookies to place ads based on previous visits by a user to this website. The identification of the respective user is enabled by cookies placed within the web browser. The text files can be used to analyse user behaviour during the website visit and can be subsequently used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can use the advertising preferences manager to disable Google’s use of cookies for these purposes and adjust ads on the Google Display Network by accessing the DoubleClick opt-out page (www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads). Alternatively, users may disable the use of third-party cookies by accessing the opt-out page of the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org/choices) or disabling the use of cookies in the browser settings.

Data Protection in Connection with Facebook Tracking

This website uses the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” provided by Facebook Inc. (“Facebook”). This function aims to present visitors of this website interest-based advertisements (“Facebook Ads”) during the time they spend on the social network Facebook. For this purpose, the Facebook remarketing tag was implemented on this website. This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers during your visit to this website. The fact that you have visited this website is transmitted to a Facebook server and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook account. For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and ways to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). Alternatively, you can disable the remarketing feature “Customer Audiences” by visiting https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You need to be logged into Facebook to access the page via the link.

In principle, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation, and contradiction. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection legislation or that your data protection-related rights have been violated in any other way, you can register a complaint at the relevant supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
